First aired: January 27, 2013.This month, the news magazine show about CUNY reveals the remarkable stories of BMCC’s Barry Rosen, who was one of the hostages taken in the Iran hostage crisis of 1979. We then visit with a new chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, which features Wilhelmena Rhodes Kelley, a Brooklyn College graduate, as the first black woman to start a DAR chapter. We’ll look at the WAVES program at Lehman College during World War II. Then, Jonathan Moore of CUNY Law will tell us what it takes to have a long career as a civil rights lawyer. Finally, we’ll view the new work of Daniel Hauben, who was commissioned to create pieces for the new library at Bronx Community College.
