On this month’s episode of the Emmy-nominated Study With the Best, we’ll look at a cross section of artists across the CUNY world. Vicky Shick, who has worked with the Trisha Brown Company among others in her 30-year career, teaches contemporary dance at Hunter College. Also from Hunter College, associate professor Carrie Moyer, a recent recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, walks us through her methods. Regret the Hour is an indie rock band consisting of current students of Hunter College. Rikki Asher of Queens College teaches how to use meditation to create art. Meena Alexander is a distinguished professor at the Graduate Center and a poet with many books to her credit.
