This edition: Richard Ravitch, partner at Ravitch Rice and Co., on NYC population growth
TweetEpisode Details
Original tape date: April 17, 2006.Imagine if over a million people decided that they wanted to move to New York City. That's actually what our city planners think is likely to happen over the next ten to fifteen years. Indeed we are already in the midst of a population boom that has added over 125,000 newcomers in just the last few years. How will we cope with this influx of people? How will we find enough housing, jobs, subway cars, schools parks, even electricity to accommodate our new neighbors? Richard Ravitch joins Sarah to answer these, and other pressing population questions.
